Kim Ah Young has been confirmed to join Ryu Kyung Soo in the upcoming film “Hit Hit Hit” (literal title)!
On May 22, Kim Ah Young’s agency AIMC announced, “Kim Ah Young has been cast in the new film ‘Hit Hit Hit.’ Filming will officially begin in mid-May.”
“Hit Hit Hit” is a comedy chase film that follows the journey of a hip-hop star wannabe as he chases after the culprit who stole his song and gets caught up in a series of unexpected incidents.
Kim Ah Young will be starring alongside actor Ryu Kyung Soo, who was previously confirmed for the leading role. She will star as Mi Ae, a character who dreams of becoming an actress but has no talent for acting at all. While working part-time at a seafood restaurant by the sea, she gets involved with a hip-hop singer from Seoul.
Kim Ah Young, who will be making her feature film debut through “Hit Hit Hit,” remarked, “I’m very excited and nervous because it’s my first movie, but on the other hand, I’m also curious about what the set will be like. No matter what set I go to, I often learn from watching my seniors and the staff members, and I plan to learn a lot from the senior actors on this set as well.”
She continued, “I felt positive energy while reading the script for ‘Hit Hit Hit.’ I will do my best to portray Mi Ae well so that the viewers can enjoy the film and also empathize with her.”
Kim Ah Young also shared her thoughts on “Hit Hit Hit,” commenting, “I think it’s an entertaining film, but it’s also a film with sincerity and seriousness. The characters in the movie each live with their own dreams, and I felt like they were like me and the people around me. I want to capture the stories of these characters well. Please give us a lot of interest and support.”
Kim Ah Young, who is known for the Coupang Play series “SNL Korea,” made a successful drama debut last year in the series “Welcome to Samdalri.”
