Lambayeque initiates 'vaccine mobile' strategy to close immunization gaps

After the arrival of the largest batch of vaccines against covid-19 to Lambayeque (244,575 doses), the Regional Health Management announced the The ‘vacunamóvil’ is underway, a new immunization strategy that joins the more than 40 vaccination centers already in operation.

“Apart from the 42 centers that we have enabled, we are initiating the ‘vacunamóvil’ strategy in the main park of Chiclayo, which will allow us to inoculate every person on foot and workers of the shops in the center of the city ”, announced the regional manager Alipio Rivas Guevara.

The ‘vacunamóvil’ begins on Saturday, October 2, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Chiclayo’s main park, with a projection of vaccinating the entire population pending the second dose, as well as those who have not yet started their immunization against covid-19.

Vaccination brigades

4 vaccination brigades will be deployed, each with an average of 300 doses. “On Sunday, our ‘vacunamóvil’ will be installed on the outskirts of the Real Plaza shopping center, with a fixed point and 3 brigades,” added the official.

Today a batch of 244,575 doses, which guarantees vaccination with second doses. Likewise, it allows to place first doses to people who suffer from prioritized diseases.

This weekend’s session will take place through the ‘vacunamóvil’ and in more than 40 vaccination centers throughout the region.
