Oliver Eckert said a very correct sentence: “Running makes you healthy. Running makes you creative.
Running makes you self-confident. All of this helps with personal development – also in everyday educational life. “
I will hang this sentence in my office, especially the first part.
Since I’ve been running, I’ve actually gotten healthier with every kilometer. Since I’ve been running, my job has been going better, and clearly.

Move to move something
And everyone who has set off reports that. If you keep moving, you can move more, I always say. And that is exactly since October 6th. once more the case. All BurdaForward employees have been running since Wednesday to do their part for greater educational equality. Every kilometer brings one euro for ROCK YOUR LIFE!
Most of the donations are used to qualify and support the students participating in the mentoring program. The financial means also benefit the young people in other ways, for example by purchasing new laptops that can be loaned out to mentees, or by promoting memberships in sports clubs. In addition, donations are used for general material costs, for example for the organization of local events (summer, winter festival), for catering at the seminars, IT costs (mail server, Zoom license, etc.), travel costs and administrative costs.

The BurdaForward running campaign for ROCK YOUR LIFE! is going so well that the company has decided to extend the promotion. What I always particularly enjoy when people enjoy running, such as BurdaForward employee Florian:
“I actually only started running during the first Corona lockdown discovered for me – I would never have imagined that before, because I was a real grouch. Now, to combine this new passion with being able to do something good, I think it’s terrific and it just gives me a great feeling. I also see similarities. Alone can sometimes lose motivation, but with several people you push yourself even more. This applies to sport and also to education. Together you can achieve more and stay on the ball more intensively. Education and running help you advance. That’s why I hope that we can carry out such actions much more often, more broadly and more widely. “

Burda Forward
BurdaForward is running. Not just like that, but because we believe that everyone should have the same opportunities for education. Colleagues from all of our brands – from FOCUS Online, CHIP.de to BUNTE.de and TV Spielfilm – got together on October 6th. To make stretch. Every kilometer run brings 1 euro, which could not be better invested.
BurdaForward will donate this to ROCK YOUR LIFE! gGmbH. As part of their 1: 1 mentoring program, ROCK YOUR LIFE! Students with disadvantaged pupils to help them with career orientation. The aim is to make the students aware of their own strengths and potentials and to encourage them to shape their lives independently. Would you also like to support? Here you can join ROCK YOUR LIFE! donate.
Creating something good all the time
Hardly any other sport connects people in such a perfect way and way. For many people like Oliver Eckert and me, running is a symbol of creating something. To design something. Achieve positive change. In our society, for our society, that can’t be a bad thing. Since running has taken place in an organized form, kilometers have always been “eaten” for a good cause. Thus, our sport per se is a solid pillar for positive change. Worldwide.
We run for fairer ones Opportunities to start
Running knows no boundaries, knows no differences between cultures, does not exclude anyone, on the contrary: it connects people of different origins. Running doesn’t ask about religion, skin color or gender. BurdaForward CEO Oliver Eckert sums it up very well: “The path in life of children and young people must not be determined by their origins. That is why we at BurdaForward advocate fair starting opportunities – from daycare to university. ”And that’s why BurdaForward continues. So that our world becomes a little better. So that it becomes a better place for children and teenagers. So let’s continue to take our legs in hand. That’s how it works!
