MOSCOW – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has arrived in Geneva, where he is scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken tomorrow
(Earlier today, Russian Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharov said that Lavrov and Blinken are expected to discuss further steps regarding Moscow’s proposals on security guarantees, TAS S reports. “Plans are under way to discuss two draft agreements submitted by Russia on December 15,” she told a news conference.
Blinken and Lavrov also spoke on the phone two days ago, when Lavrov, regarding the situation in southeastern Ukraine, called on Blinken not to spread speculation about the alleged impending Russian aggression, but to force the authorities in Kiev to fully implement the Minsk agreements.
