Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati affirmed that Saudi Arabia represents his political and religious kiss in response to allegations that the kingdom’s doors are closed to him.
According to a statement issued by the Lebanese government, Mikati’s statement came after a visit he made, on Friday morning, to the Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Ra’i. , where he briefed him on the progress of the government’s work, and asked him for blessings, prayers and supplications. Mikati’s talk about Saudi Arabia came in response to what was reported by a Lebanese newspaper, which spoke of Saudi Arabia’s “refusal” to receive him.
