Lengvarský will negotiate with Matovič's ministry on the reduction of payments for state policyholders

The Minister of Health Vladimír Lengvarský (OĽANO nominee) will negotiate with the Ministry of Finance (MF) of the Slovak Republic on the reduction of payments for state policyholders. Zuzana Eliášová, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, informed about it

“ The Ministry of Health assures that there will be as much money in the sector as it really needs ,” she said.

In view of the current tax forecast, the payment for the state’s insured persons is to be reduced overall. by more than EUR 232 million to EUR 1.2 billion. The head of the Ministry of Finance, Igor Matovič (OĽANO), therefore asked the Minister of Health at the end of September to commit the funds in the mentioned amount

The state pays health insurance for, for example, the elderly, children, students, women on maternity leave or the unemployed

but also representatives of doctors, the outpatient sector, patients or hospitals.
