Chelsea have staged an overhaul by releasing their new squad numbers for the upcoming season.
Several stars have taken on new numbers for the 2023/24 season, including Levi Colwill who has claimed the iconic number 26 jersey at Stamford Bridge.
That number was made famous by Chelsea legend John Terry, another academy graduate who reached the very top of the game.
A clear role model to the 20-year-old, Colwill will be hoping to make a similar impact over the coming years after returning to Chelsea from a successful loan spell with Brighton last term.
Enzo Fernandez has taken the number eight shirt that was vacated by Mateo Kovacic, while Mykhailo Mudryk will wear the number 10 jersey that was left behind by Christian Pulisic.
Raheem Sterling also claims a more familiar number, taking the number seven shirt that was left behind by N’Golo Kante following his move to Saudi Arabia.
Besides Mudryk and Sterling, Noni Madueke looks set for a big role this term and will wear the number 11 shirt, while Marc Cucurella takes the number three shirt, Benoit Badiashile takes number five, Carney Chukweumeka claims 17 and Armando Broja takes the number 19 shit.
In terms of new signings, Christopher Nkunku will wear the number 18 shirt after arriving from RB Leipzig, while Nicolas Jackson will wear the number 15 after joining from Villarreal.
Axel Disasi will take the number 2 shirt, while Robert Sanchez will be number 31 after joining from Brighton.
Elsewhere Malo Gusto will be number 27, Andrey Santos will wear number 20 and Lesley Ugochukwu will wear number 16.

Meanwhile, nobody took the ‘cursed’ number nine shirt, although it technically belongs to Romelu Lukaku, who is yet to find a new club.
