Chinese electric vehicle maker Li Auto plans to locate its third manufacturing facility in Chongqing, local media reported Wednesday, citing an official document issued by the southwestern municipality’s government. Reports said that the EV maker had purchased a plot of land in the north of the city in late January and is expected to begin construction of the plant within the next three months. Li Auto currently produces vehicles in a facility in the eastern city of Changzhou with an annual capacity of 100,000 vehicles, and started building its second plant in Beijing (which is set to double its output) in October.
