A few months ago, Milan Laća Radulović caused great attention with his statements against Ceca Ražnatović. Although they used to be friends and collaborators, one of the most successful songwriters of today, on that occasion exclusively for Svet , revealed why and how the contact with the singer was cut off.

– The origin of the revolt for my advertising on social networks is based on the contingent of songs I did on Anastasia, and not to mention how much I lowered the price, so that I could get an answer from Ceca that it was “expensive like Marina”. While that album was in the process, I got that message, which hurt me on a moral and emotional level, as a man attached to my mother. My mom is terribly cheap to cooperate on account of how much these people have earned. Not only Ceca but others as well. It was a melting point and rudeness. I refrained once because I think I was told that twice. This was definitely done with the intention of lowering the price for the songs I did for Anastasia. I diplomatically replied that we could negotiate all the conditions except the price.

I heard you sue Ceca. How did that happen?

– All songs were illegally published without a signed contract on the assignment of the right to a phonogram. No copyright agreement. Then the main “noise” started. I was a tough nut to crack. That happened in May last year. Then it was transferred to the lawyer of my company, since we were not able to agree, through which it was supposed to be charged. Well, then through the second because we failed to agree, and now it will be over the third because I will file a lawsuit. The lawsuit is “Ceci muzik” because all three songs “Rane”, “Volim te” and “Heroina” were illegally, illegally published without a signed contract, and there is also a debt that is not regulated. By law, the author must give consent, signature for publication. I’ve been going through hell for a year where everything drags on.

How much money do they owe?

– I would not like to reveal the figure that the others owed, but it is approximately in the price of the new iPhone model. It’s not a matter of money. Discrediting my profession is a problem. I sang songs with all my heart.

What does Anastasia say about all that?

– Let me break down right away, Anastasia and I never talked about money and I have no problem with her, but no contact . I have a problem with the employer “Ceca Music”, Ceca, in fact Lidija Ocokoljic, who is the director there. Lots of midwives, skinny kids. Talk to this and that.

In what way are you specifically damaged by the fact that the contract was not signed?

– It is impossible for me to legally cede to them the right to use the song, on the account of the one where they earn money. One part of the earnings cake and listening to songs on the Internet, copyright. I wanted to give them the right to use the monetization of songs, that is, the earnings from listening and rights. But use only, because they can sell that song for advertising and earn 20,000 euros, and if I don’t have a contract, I can’t get anything.

How did it come about that Ceca wrote that something was as expensive as Marina? Does it refer to the mother’s price of the song or what helped her financially in the treatment?

– I don’t know. Obviously, the price that my mother has for Ceca in the last 20 years is expensive for her. I lowered the figure a lot to work with Anastasia. Ceca did not pay for the treatment, she helped in the logistical sense, the profession of hospitals, contacts with people, and I am very grateful for that. And that means a lot. It is not financial, but her help is very great and I am grateful for that.

Are there more things about Ceca that you would say but you choose the moment?

– It is a history that I would never publish. I have no urge to publish dirty laundry. I know a lot, too much about the devil, so maybe God protects me.

How did the relationship and communication between Ceca and you end?

– The private relationship was terminated, which I thought was ok. It seems to me that everything actually started from that “problem” with the songs. I think it was a celebration of Veljko’s son’s birth, I sent a greeting card, and no one answers my messages. It hurt me for someone who considered himself a friend of my house. That’s where it started. I’m a pretty cold-blooded man, I just re-categorized after that to another folder. What you claimed to be, you were. Thank you for everything, in my eyes you are no more. My attitude has nothing to do with my mother’s attitude. She and I are separate politics. That’s how I was brought up. Her relationships are hers, mine are mine.

How did you come to participate in making the video for Ceca and Oliver Mandić for the song “Time for Love”?

– I was a student of directing , and my music mentor was Oliver Mandić, and he wanted me to direct that video. Kosta Bunuševac and I had the desire to present Olivera and Ceca without hair. I never wanted that allusion with Ceca about Arkan, in fact, maybe I did. All good artists know how provocative agents should be. I filmed that part, after Oliver had crazy trips to film it with a dog on Avala. I said I couldn’t paint that nonsense he envisioned. I gave him what I recorded and that’s it. I’m sorry he didn’t come out. It was supposed to be a duo portrait, the two of them. The idea was to start from the eyes, and then the whole face, where they have a little hair, which is slowly disappearing, because part of the “give me time” is going. Time passes, hair falls out. I’m a minimalist and Oliver wanted it to be grandiose, which clashed with my aesthetic experience of the song.

Did your mom draw attention to some of the statements you made gave?

– What kind. No one ever blamed her, not even Ceca. I don’t even know if they talked about it at all. My mom was upset just because all the media called her because of my statement about Ceca, not me. Only you called me for a comment. No one else. My number is easy to reach. It is clear to everyone that Marina and I are companies for ourselves, everyone decides for themselves and is their own. I don’t interfere in what my mother does and talks, she doesn’t interfere when it comes to me.

Does anyone still owe you?

– Only Ceca, no one else.
