Less than a week after releasing his collaborative project with Rich the Kid, Lil Wayne surprises by releasing a new song to streaming services.
“Ya Dig” was co-produced by STREETRUNNER and Tarik Azzouz and features a sample of Margie Joseph’s “Stop! In the Name of Love,” which Wayne also sampled on “Gossip” off his 2007 EP The Leak.
“Get the fk up out my hair unless you’re my comb / That means mind yours because I’m grown and I’ma die alone with my Styrofoam,” Tunechi raps over the soulful beat, while “pouring up” for Pimp C and Bun B.
According to Lil Wayne HQ, the song was recorded in late 2007 or early 2008, but it’s unclear why it wasn’t released until now.
Last Friday, Wayne and Rich the Kid dropped their joint mixtape Trust Fund Babies, and Weezy has even more music on the way including I Am Not A Human Being III and ColleGrove 2 with 2 Chainz.
