Lito MC Cassidy celebrates another achievement in her career and received today, Tuesday, her first Latin Grammy® nomination in the category “Best Rap / Hip-Hop Song” for her song “La Vendedora de Placer”.
The song released by the BMG Rights Management label carries a powerful and profound message from a real life story. The 22nd annual Latin Grammy® Awards will take place on Thursday, November 18 at 8:00 pm EST and will be broadcast live from Las Vegas through the Univisión network.
The Latin Grammy® academy recognizes musical excellence in “La Vendedora de Placer”, a song that was written by Lito MC Cassidy and produced by Micquail Akeem Kizer. The theme contains an exceptional melody with prominent voices by the Puerto Rican artist Elysanij. “She doesn’t understand why they raped her, she doesn’t say anything, and they disturb her heart,” says part of the emotional lyrics.
About his first nomination, the Afro-Latino artist commented: ” At times like this I can only give thanks. God makes little stumbling blocks to make us stronger and the righteous always prevail.
