According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Liverpool are still determined to try and make a deal for Fabio Carvalho work in the summer.
A pre-contract could be in place for the Fulham youngster to eventually make his way over to Anfield once the current season comes to an end. The Reds were unable to get this move over the finish line before the January window closed, with Liverpool now needing to agree a training compensation with the Championship promotion chasers if they’re going to push it through.
If they can’t then a fee will instead be decided via tribunal after Liverpool couldn’t get the necessary paperwork done.
Either way, Carvalho is already beginning to look like the next signing of note for a club that has a history of making new stars – at least during the Jurgen Klopp era, that is.
Now, it’s all a case of sorting out the logistics.
