For Lorena Verdún, what matters most is protecting her family and the “Bird”, of course. Claudio Cantero, the former leader of “Los Monos”, was gunned down by assassins in 2013 when they were already separated, but that did not prevent Verdun from swearing eternal love to him, and he keeps it in mind to this day.

But with the “Bird” dead, the widow is at the center of the clan scene. A photo from last Christmas portrays her with the new generation of the criminal organization, with a drink in hand and surrounded by her children, other family members and the young people closest to the drug gang.
