The live action movie of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe already has a protagonist chosen. According to Variety, the actor Kyle Allen, from Love, Sublime Love, will give life to the hero defender of Eternia. The feature will be released for streaming on Netflix, still no release date.
This will be the second adaptation of He-Man with flesh and blood actors, more than 30 years later The Masters of the Universe (1987), which had Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV) in the lead role.
The new feature will adapt the story of the classic 1980s cartoon, and is another production based on the character’s universe to be released by Netflix.
The franchise also has the derivative She-Ra and The Princesses do Poder, a CGI animated series aimed at children (He-Man and The Masters of the Universe), and an animated series created by
Kevin Smith, Masters of the Universe: Saving Eternia *).
Kyle Allen also participated in the eighth season of American Horror Story in 2018.
