Major League Baseball: Promising Cuban outfielder Cristian Vaquero reaches agreement with the Washington Nationals

The Washington Nationals signed a 4.9 million dollar deal with Cuban outfielder Cristian Vaquero, who ranks second on the list of international prospects.

According to the report by Jesse Sánchez (MLB.com), the 17-year-old has a mixture of power and speed, as well as being able to hit both sides of home plate.

Six feet three inches tall, Vaquero stands out for his movement in the central field and strong arm, which makes him a candidate to be a premium defender of said territory.

Analysts also highlight his energy in the field and the natural instincts he has.

Two other Cubans who were recently signed by major league organizations are Oscar Colás (White Sox) and Yendry Rojas (Padres). See the complete information at this link.
