Manchester City are ready to sell Raheem Sterling in the summer transfer window, with Barcelona keen on the former Liverpool star, according to TEAMtalk. City, who won the Premier League title last season, have been in talks with Sterling over a new contract since last summer, but a new deal has yet to be agreed upon.
Barcelona wanted to sign Sterling on loan from City in the January transfer window, and the England international attacking midfielder himself wanted to make the move to Camp Nou. La Liga and European giants Barcelona remain keen on Sterling, who can also play as a winger and is out of contract at City in the summer of 2023.
Sterling has made 16 starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for City so far this season, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist in the process. The 27-year-old has scored three goals and given two assists in three Champions League starts for Pep Guardiola’s side so far this campaign.
