Marco de Canaveses group buys Lisboa Oriente and FXP

The M.Coutinho automotive retail group, founded in 1956 in Marco de Canaveses, where it maintains its headquarters, has been growing dramatically in recent years, either organically or through acquisition.

Mainly operating in the North and Center areas, MCotinho currently represents 18 brands, such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Toyota, Renault or Opel, with 48 points of sale for new vehicles in the country, 25 authorized repairers, nine collision centers and two parts logistics centres, in the districts of Porto, Bragança, Vila Real, Coimbra, Viseu and Leiria.

Led by its family generation, MCotinho employs approx 700 people and invoices more than 220 million euros, having sold more than 11 thousand new and used vehicles in 2019.

Now, it has notified the Competition Authority of the purchase of the Lisboa Oriente and FXP dealerships, which are headquartered in Lisbon.

Lisboa Oriente, located on Avenida Infante D. Henrique, is a company dedicated to the retail sale of Peugeot brand new and used cars, as well as car parts and accessories and the provision of after-sales services. facilities in Loures and Torres Vedras, is also dedicated to the same activities as Lisboa Oriente, in this case, the brands Ford, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Isuzu and Abarth.
