The Mohammed VI University Hospital Center (CHU) of Marrakech organized, from October 4 to 8, the Automnales of Maxillofacial and Aesthetic Surgery, humanitarian days at the benefit of patients, but also of targeted surgical training.
Organized under the coordination of Professor Nadia Mansouri, president of the SOS Face Marrakech Association, this initiative had for objective of providing practical and theoretical training on scars as part of a humanitarian and educational approach.
The program included a humanitarian action social citizen helping the needy with scars through the treatment of 300 cases, coupled with an anatomo-pathological examination of the scars excised at the Mohammed VI University Hospital, as well as practical training at the Ibn Tofail hospital under the said CHU which was dedicated to resident doctors, internal and external Moroccan and African, on demonstrations op
A teaching Symposium, declined in conferences and practical workshops at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Marrakech by the teams of pathological anatomy and maxillofacial and aesthetic surgeons, was also on the menu.
This action has a multi-faceted aspect is part of the university hospital strategy at Marrakech making humanitarian solidarity medicine a priority for public health and a structured means framed for continuing training with a rapprochement of the doctor in training of his future social place of practice and a special openness and attention of the CHU to the patient.
This scientific, academic and social action carried out between the Faculty of Medicine and the Ibn Tofail Hospital in Marrakech falls within the prerogatives of the maxillofacial and aesthetic surgery team of the Mohammed VI University Hospital of Marrakech around the SOS Face association which fights against e disfigurement which affects more than once the dignity of the human being, determining social exclusion for the patient and constituting a daily challenge for the surgeon.
