Mazda: Having your own electric car is not bad if you have a second car

Next year, Mazda plans to release a plug-in hybrid version of the MX-30.

The E-Car MX-30 by Mazda is a disappointment for many owners due to its modest range. The Japanese carmaker seems to shrug it off and now says that the car is suitable for those buyers who also have a second car for longer distances.

Regarding electric cars is Mazda generally a laggard. The manufacturer released its first all-electric car last year and only for the European market. The MX-30 with its 35.5 kWh battery , its 105 kW engine output and its range of around 200 kilometers according to the WLTP standard, but generally not taken care of .

North American demand low

This year the car was also on the Californian market used and will also be available in Quebec and British Columbia in Canada. According to Electrek the demand is low in North America. In Quebec and British Columbia, just 700 will be made available throughout 2022.

According to Mazda Canada product manager Mark Peyman, a plug-in hybrid version of the model is also planned for next year.
