Meitu Inc. announced six brand-new image-related products on March 5: Chic Camera, Meitu ID Photo, Wink, MeituPic for Mac, Meitu Design Studio and Meitu AI Photo Editing.
Founded in October 2008, Meitu Inc. is an AI-driven technology company that helps users adjust physical aesthetics through a range of image products and beauty management services.
At a press conference, Wu Xinhong, founder and CEO of Meitu, released a set of relevant data. By the end of February 2022, the company had about 4.5 million VIP members worldwide. Since the launch of the VIP membership service in China in 2020, it has served about 2.93 million VIP members in more than one year. According to Meitu’s performance report for the first half of 2021, membership services achieved eye-catching success, with a year-on-year increase of 150.7%, accounting for 26.2% of total revenue.
Relying on the industry-leading self-developed technology of MT Lab, the service range of the six new image products covers both individuals and enterprise users.
In order to satisfy specific desires of young users, the trend camera app”Chic Camera” launched recently regularly provides various theme cameras and shooting effects to stimulate users’ creative inspiration.
With the help of Meitu’s massive image processing technology and optimization algorithms, the company’s new online ID photo production app “Meitu ID Photo”adopts professional face processing technology, intelligent dressing algorithms, image quality restoration and other technologies to complete the whole process of face and body recognition, professional detection, image quality optimization, intelligent photo cropping and beautification for portraits, so as to easily make high-definition ID photos for users.
With “Wink,” the company uses its self-developed video face recognition and beautification technology to create an exclusive video-portrait AI refinement function, which supports separate adjustments according to the actual needs of users in multi-person videos.
In addition to deeply improving users’ beauty services in various lifestyle scenarios, Meitu also launched three products: MeituPic for Mac, Meitu Design Studio and Meitu AI Photo Editing, which has expanded the firm’s beauty services to work scenarios.
“MeituPic for Mac” is aimed at users working in e-commerce, new media, marketing, administration and other fields, providing picture processing and poster design services, lowering the threshold of professional design.
Facing the online marketing and live commerce needs of small and medium-sized enterprise users, Meitu Design Studio provides abundant poster templates and commercial copyright materials.
