Melanoma patients and experts are asking for a mandatory vaccination against kovid

Doctors, experts and patients gathered at the Sixth Regional Meeting on Melanoma in Belgrade today again demanded the obligatory vaccination of all citizens against the corona virus.

In the ceremonial hall of the Assembly The City of Belgrade opened the Sixth Regional Meeting on Melanoma, which discussed the dangers faced by patients during the corona virus pandemic.

” The theme of this gathering is melanoma at the time of the corona. The idea is to get together, talk about how to maintain and improve treatment. A lot has been done on prevention and diagnosis, but that good start has been slowed down due to the corona virus. Due to the pandemic, the health system was torn apart, which seems to be slowing down from recognizing the early change to the surgical intervention itself, “said dermatologist Prof. Dr. Lidija Kandolf Sekulović, pointing out the overload of the health system.

The meeting was opened by the President of the Assembly of the City Municipality of Zemun Miroslav Gajić and the President of the Association of Patients with melanoma Savo Pilipović, who is also the organizer of the event.

Guest lecturers from Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Zagreb addressed the gathered and the public online and pointed out the necessity of preventive examinations and detection of the disease at an early stage, but also pointed out how we can protect ourselves.

Doctors from Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis also spoke, clearly emphasizing the importance and necessity of vaccination. Among the speakers was the director of the Association of Manufacturers of Innovative Medicines INOVIA Bojan Trkulja, who stressed the importance of connecting the pharmaceutical industry and patients’ associations as much as possible.

“We have an obligation to support patients, who are in the center of our interest, which means that it is in our great interest to support patient associations, not only in a material way but also through such gatherings,” Trkulja emphasized.

The gathering has an interactive continuation, so tomorrow in Zemun a panel will be held where patients and doctors will discuss innovative methods of treatment, and then patients, with mediation of a psychotherapist, talk about their experiences.
