Merge Games Shows Off Sunnyside’s Gameplay In Latest Trailer
Indie developer, RainyGames seeks to release innovative, fun titles while Merge Games is an independent video game publisher. The two companies have now collaborated to work on the release of Sunnyside, a JRPG farm simulator set in the Japanese countryside. Today, the team has released an official gameplay trailer showing off various aspects of the game. The game will release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S sometime in 2023.
In the game, players will have the ability to take over a ton of land in the Japanese countryside and can now cultivate land, grow crops and care for animals. Furthermore, players will be able to utilize modern technology to farm including solar panels, electric water pumps, machines for food production and much more. Moreover, players will be able to customize their character in a variety of ways including hair, outfit and decorations.
In the one minute long trailer, viewers get an in-depth look at various aspects of farm life in Sunnyside. Viewers are able to see some of the technology on offer at the farm as well as some aspects of the combat. Moreover, along the journey, players will be able to meet various characters in the area. Each character has its own story, personality and issues which players can uncover to help them. The possibilities in Sunnyside are endless and it takes a unique twist on a popular genre.
