Morgan Sindall has appointed Crossrail’s safety chief as its safety, health and environmental and quality (SHEQ) director.
Carole Bardell-Wise has been appointed to Morgan Sindall Infrastructure to lead on health and safety issues, replacing Martin Worthington, who is due to retire later this year.
In a statement from Morgan Sindall, the company said Bardell-Wise would bring a “wealth of senior leadership experience and knowledge from the infrastructure, rail and aviation sectors” to the contractor. She has also held senior health and safety positions at Costain and Balfour Beatty in the past.
Bardwell-Wise will focus on strengthening the company’s health and wellbeing, safety, environmental and quality programmes and standards. Morgan Sindall Infrastructure managing director Simon Smith said: “I’m delighted that Carole has joined our business. Her appointment will continue to drive our performance, adding significant value beyond her functional leadership responsibilities and supporting our imperative to make sure that every one of our colleagues goes home safe and well every day.”
