Screen

As much as the G200 has a slightly larger screen, the manufacturer saved on material and kept only an LCD panel on it. On the other side, the 20 Pro contains an OLED display with 1 billion colors, which also offers more vibrant tones, perfect black and superior brightness, especially when used outside the home.

Full HD+ resolution is present in both, as well as HDR10 for streaming. But the Edge still has the best front use, due to the smaller edges, and in the presence of protection, by Gorilla Glass 5.

In terms of fluidity, at least you won’t be disappointed with any of them. That’s because we have a 144 Hz refresh rate on the duo. Good for gamers on duty, who will be able to run the games with more fps, regardless of the chosen cell phone.

We stayed with the Motorola Edge, for the higher quality.

Sound

The brand still insists on leaving out the stereo audio of its premium devices. Therefore, we only found one sound output on both the Moto G and the Edge, which compromises the user experience and immersion.

Despite the limitations, the 20 Pro provides superior quality. The sound power is high and there is a good balance between bass, mids and treble. Something that doesn’t happen in the G200, because it sins in both situations.

At least, Motorola still sends headphones heard in the box, either with P2 connector and USB Type-C adapter, as is the case with the Moto G; or direct with USB-C tip, just like the Edge.

The 20 Pro extends the score.

Performance

THE G200 is powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus platform, while the 20 Pro has the older Snapdragon 870. That means the Moto G wins in performance, right? It may seem like an obvious answer, but the result was the opposite in practice. The Edge managed to be faster in our tests than the model of the “sister” line.

The top chip most Qualcomm’s recent release will only show its superior potential in the benchmarks, when the Moto G200 wins in almost every scenario. In games, you will have no problem with these devices. But not everyone will support the 144 fps present here.

It’s another point for the Motorola Edge.

Drums

Did you think appearances were only deceiving in performance? In terms of battery, the Moto G has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, higher than the 4,500 mAh of the Edge. However, the 20 Pro that delivers the greatest autonomy of the duo. The difference is not small. It recorded six hours longer than the branded “brother”.

Want more? Even with a less powerful plug adapter than the G200, the Motorola Edge also charges in less time. It reaches 100% with practically one hour stuck. The Moto G needs an extra 15 minutes to complete the entire process.

It’s already looking like a rule, but it’s a point for Edge.

We have two triple camera sets on each side, both led by the same 108 MP sensor. Despite the advanced lens, we see similar problems in these two notebooks. Both the G200 and the 20 Pro can’t get the contrast right, despite the good definition and satisfactory level of detail.

The Edge’s portrait mode has several flaws, something that doesn’t happen on the Moto G, thanks to the presence of a depth camera. Night photos suffer less loss of sharpness on the 20 Pro, which also hits the images captured from afar, by the periscopic camera, with five times optical zoom.
