Mumbai Airport unveils new global routes in winter schedule

From October 27, 2024, to March 29, 2025, the airport will offer a total of 3,372 weekly flights, comprising 2,361 domestic and 1,011 international flights, connecting passengers to over 115 destinations.

Mumbai Airport unveils new global routes in winter schedule

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has announced its Winter Schedule for 2024, coinciding with the festive season. From October 27, 2024, to March 29, 2025, the airport will offer a total of 3,372 weekly flights, comprising 2,361 domestic and 1,011 international flights, connecting passengers to over 115 destinations.

A staggering 964 daily flight movements at the airport offer increased connectivity to key international hubs, including Toronto, Bangkok, London, and Amman. This marks a 4% rise in overall travel compared to the summer schedule of 2024 and a 2% increase from Winter Schedule 2023.

Among the new routes, Air Canada will resume its flights to Toronto with four weekly services starting October 28. Nok Air is set to launch eight weekly flights to Bangkok (DMK) from October 27, while Thai VietJet will introduce daily flights to Bangkok (BKK) by December 2024.

Additionally, Virgin Atlantic plans to increase its services to London Heathrow with a second daily flight starting October 28. Royal Jordanian will also initiate a new route to Amman, operating four weekly flights in February and March 2025.

Among Indian carriers, IndiGo continues to dominate the domestic slots at the airport, holding a 47% market share. Air India and Vistara follow with 19% and 17% respectively. On the international front, IndiGo also leads with a 20% share, with Air India and Vistara at 13% and 10%.
