National archer Mete Gazoz: My goal is 4-5 gold medals

The Ministry of Youth and Sports organized the “Night of the Stars-Team Turkey Congratulatory Reception” for the athletes and coaches competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games. National archer Mete Gazoz , who won the gold medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, made a statement to the press. Expressing that he remembers the Tokyo Olympics very well because he won the gold medal, Gazoz said, “Since I came first, Tokyo reminds me of very good things. It reminds me of very good things for all Turkish people, for everyone but me. It was a beautiful moment. Besides, it was a very good tournament to transfer this sports culture to younger children. It was a beautiful moment that everyone followed for a week and a half. It was very nice for me too. It went very well for everyone else.”

“I think it will be a good night”

Mete Gazoz, who also spoke about the night, said, “This night was very good. Because normally we, as athletes, do not have the chance to be together very often as athletes in the Turkish team. Each sport has its own calendar and program, which is very different from each other. We could only be together from tournament to tournament like this. Now, after a historical success, it is very nice to gather here together again, to talk about those times, to talk to each other again, and to talk to each other later on. I think it will be a good night”.

“My goal is 4-5 gold medals”

“When asked about his goals, Gazoz concluded his statement with the following statements:

“One more gold. You have to be a little more greedy. In fact, greed is not a beautiful thing, but it is a beautiful thing about medals. Now we got one gold, yes, but there is much less time left until the next Olympics. We have much shorter time to prepare. We are already preparing for 2024. We’re going to increase the number of gold medals this one has. My target is 4 gold medals, 5 gold medals.”
