Nintendo wants to be prepared for any challenges they might face such as supply shortages or price scalping. It shows that the gaming giant is taking on a different approach than when the Switch was released. The primary objective is to fulfill launch demand even if this means delaying the launch.

The report also talked about Nintendo’s desire to establish a first-party launch game lineup to accompany the Switch 2’s release. When the Switch was launched in 2017, there were three Nintendo-made games released to go with it. However, out of those three, only The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild turned out to be a hit.

Nintendo Switch 2 will be based on the hybrid design philosophy introduced by its predecessor. This claim has been circulating over the past few years. According to some leaks, the console will allow for docked and handheld play using a mobile system-on-chip from NVIDIA.

Nintendo Switch was announced four months before launch. By the looks of it, things might take a bit longer this time. It is expected that Nintendo will reveal the Switch 2 in June. However, these are just rumors so it would be wise to wait for an official announcement.
