NSW Deputy Chief Health Officer Dr Marianne Gale says 587 new local COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the state.
Dr Gale also said sadly the deaths of 8 people who died with COVID-19 have also been reported.
“They are five men and three women,” Dr Gale said during a media conference on Thursday.
“One person was in their 20s, one person in their 50s, two people in their 60s, two people in their 70s and two people in their 80s.”
