NFL Power Rankings: Week 10 Edition

Now that Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books, it’s time for an incredibly meaningful and serious exercise: NFL Power Rankings! What differentiates these rankings from all the others is that they’re THE only truly accurate ones in the entire universe. We use a proprietary system that heavily accounts for all-important vibes. Let’s take a look at how all 32 teams stack up. (Click here for last week’s version.)

– Kansas City Chiefs (Last Week: 1) – inevitable -[[in-ev-i-tuh-buhl ]- unable to be avoided, evaded, or escaped; certain; fated

– Detroit Lions (LW: 2) – I don’t think anyone was questioning them as the top team in the NFC but they eliminated any possible doubt with a win in Green Bay. The Lions also got even better by trading for Za’Darius Smith, who addresses a big position of need for them.

– Buffalo Bills (LW: 3) – The Bills basically have the AFC East wrapped up after just nine weeks; they have a four-game lead over second place. They’ve swept Miami and they’ll split with NYJ at worst.

– Baltimore Ravens (LW: 4) – Maybe Derrick Henry will help Lamar Jackson finally overcome the playoff struggles that people like to sweep under the rug?

– Washington Commanders (LW: 7) – The Commanders have faced the second-easiest strength of schedule this season (.388) and, to their credit, they’ve taken advantage of inferior opponents. Jayden Daniels isn’t just the Offensive Rookie of the Year; he’s a top MVP candidate.

– Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 8) – Four straight wins for the Eagles following their Week 5 bye. Jalen Hurts’ numbers from that stretch: 60/83 (72.3%), 844 yards (10.2 yards per attempt), 6 TD, 0 INT, 128.8 passer rating … 44 rushes, 159 yards (3.6 average), 6 TD … zero turnovers. The Birds are making a push to take over the NFC East lead.

– Green Bay Packers (LW: 5) – Jordan Love’s turnovers have been a big issue; he’s thrown at least one interception in every game this season with 10 total in seven games played.

– Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 9) – The Steelers return from their bye to take on the Commanders at Fedex Field. Measuring stick game for both sides.

– Minnesota Vikings (LW: 10) – Minny was able to bounce back after two straight losses. Playing against Joe Flacco, who turns 40 in a couple months, certainly helped.

– Atlanta Falcons (LW: 11) – Atlanta is in strong position to win the NFC South with a two-game lead PLUS a head-to-head tiebreaker over Tampa.

– Houston Texans (LW: 6) – The Texans are on fraud watch with just a +1 point differential despite their 6-3 record. They’re fortunate the rest of their division isn’t very good.

– San Francisco 49ers (LW: 12) – The 49ers return from their bye to take on a Tampa team that just had to play an overtime Monday night game on the road. Prime opportunity for them to get above .500.

– Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 13) – Cincy has won three out of their last four to rebound from a 1-4 start. It’ll be tough for them to win the AFC North but a wild card berth is certainly within reach.

– Arizona Cardinals (LW: 14) – The Cards remain atop the NFC West with three straight wins. With the third-easiest remaining schedule in the NFL, not impossible they win their division for the first time since 2015.

– Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 15) – No team has allowed fewer points this season than the Chargers have. Their opponents are averaging 12.625 points per game. Of course, the Bolts also rank seventh-to-last in points scored.

– Los Angeles Rams (LW: 18) – The Rams can’t be discounted in the NFL playoff picture. If they don’t end up winning their division, they’ll be a legitimate wild card team.

– Denver Broncos (LW: 16) – A 31-point loss to Baltimore was a reality check for a Broncos team that had been building some positive momentum.

– Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 17) – Todd Bowles is terrible at game management. Not going for two towards the end of regulation and instead opting for the extra point allowed Patrick Mahomes multiple chances to win the game. And he did exactly what everyone would’ve expected him to do. The Bucs deserved their loss. Silver lining for the Bucs is they have THE easiest remaining schedule in the NFL.

– New York Jets (LW: 24) – A big win over Houston keeps the Jets’ season on life support. They could conceivably end up with a wild card spot.

– Chicago Bears (LW: 19) – The Bears are 4-4 after two straight losses. More bad news: they have the NFL’s most difficult remaining schedule.

– Seattle Seahawks (LW: 20) – After a 3-0 start, the Seahawks find themselves last in the NFC West with a 4-5 record. Not a legitimate contender.

– Indianapolis Colts (LW: 21) – Joe Flacco is better than Anthony Richardson but the problem is that’s not saying very much.

– Dallas Cowboys (LW: 22) – The Cowboys have lost three straight and Dak Prescott is likely headed to injured reserve. With a game against the Eagles up next, it’s probably time to stick a fork in Dallas.

– Cleveland Browns (LW: 23) – Jameis Winston is better than Deshaun Watson but the problem is that’s not saying very much.

– Tennessee Titans (LW: 28) – Beating the Pats really only served to damage their draft positioning.

– Miami Dolphins (LW: 29) – Miami is a more credible team now that Tua Tagovailoa is back … but they’re still not a very good one.

– New York Giants (LW: 25) – The Giants are tied for the worst record in the NFL but they’re only seventh in the 2025 NFL Draft order due to their tough strength of schedule. So they’re not even getting to fully reap the benefits of being bad at the moment.

– Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 26) – Five straight losses for the Raiders. They should trade Maxx Crosby prior to the deadline but they probably won’t.

– Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 30) – They were 13 yards away from beating the Eagles in a game they didn’t really have business winning. Doug Pederson’s team is bad but they’ve been competitive lately.

– New England Patriots (LW: 31) – Drake Maye is showing some flashes of promise.

– Carolina Panthers (LW: 32) – The Panthers finally found a team worse than them! And they ripped the Cowboys off in the Jonathan Mingo trade. Positive vibes in Carolina?!

– New Orleans Saints (LW: 27) – Seven straight losses after starting 2-0. Losing to the Panthers is pretty embarrassing. Who would’ve thought recreating the Dennis Allen-Derek Carr era Raiders wouldn’t work out?!
