The 26-year-old Olympic bronze medal center has been playing in the ensemble since 2013, of which he has been the team captain, one of the leading figures on and off the field since 2018. His most recent contract was in 2016, and the six-year, $ 35.4 million deal would have expired next summer, the extension and new terms of which were announced on Friday.

Bobrovsky reported a $ 70 million seven-year contract in 2019.

Barkov will be the 12th active hockey player in the league with a contract of at least $ 80 million.

The Finnish classic has already scored 181 goals in the Panthers and is only seven hits behind the club’s most successful player so far, his compatriot Olli Jokinen. In terms of points and assistants, he is only preceded by his 28-year-old teammate Jonathan Huberdeau of Canada.
