Nice won, Stengs missed!

In the last game of the ninth round of the French League 1 tonight, Nice defeated Brest 2: 1 after a much better game at home.

*) The final result does not reflect the real state of affairs on the field, because according to the game and chances, Nice had to celebrate more convincingly.

The leading goal was waited until the 45th minute when Todibo shook the visitors’ net , and the second half was full of great opportunities for the home team.

Nice could have scored the second goal in the 55th minute when Stengs had already beaten the goalkeeper Bizot, but the obstacle saved the guests in that situation.

But, what the home team did not use then, they succeeded six minutes later and crowned a better game on the field. Delor passed the ball to the left towards Gviri, who centered well, and the ball was caught by Bard and sent into the net – 2: 0 .

Nice players had another great opportunity in the 66th minute, when Kamara made an extraordinary cross from the left side, the ball traveled for a long time, but in the end it reached Delors who shot with his head, but was not precise.

The home team continued with the attacks, and Stengs missed another 100% chance in the 75th minute, after a great pass from Delors. Stengs shot diagonally from the right side, completely undisturbed, but he sent the ball almost near the goal.

And instead of Nice leading convincingly, the guests managed to reduce it to 2: 1 at the entrance in overtime

A minute later, a long ball in front of the visitors’ penalty area, Stengs enters a 100% chance again, but he was inaccurate for the third time!

With this victory, Nice broke through to the third place on the table with 16 points, Brest remained on the 19th position, without a single victory, with only four points won.
