The NRL Grand Final is set to go ahead at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on Sunday after the state recorded two new local cases over the past 24 hours.
The two latest cases are children who have been in home quarantine.
More than 21,000 people came forward for testing yesterday after more than 50 exposure sites were listed.
Health authorities have told residents to take advantage of vaccine supply to prevent further outbreaks with pop up clinics to be set up around Lang Park tomorrow for NRL fans.
It comes as the Queensland government continues to refuse to say if the border will open when 80 per cent of the population is fully vaccinated.
Health Minister Yvette D’Ath also weighed in on international travel trials, saying the state isn’t closed off to the idea but that she doesn’t think people should be flying to Bali at the moment given the number of cases there.
