Es gibt neue tragische Details über den Tod von Jordan Cashmyer. Mitte Januar war die TV-Bekanntheit mit nur 26 Jahren überraschend verstorben. Anschließend waren Gerüchte darüber aufgekommen, wie das Leben des “16 And Pregnant“-Stars ein so plötzliches Ende gefunden hatte – angeblich waren Drogen im Spiel gewesen. Jetzt wurden die Ergebnisse der Obduktion veröffentlicht und diese bestätigen: Jordan starb tatsächlich an einer Überdosis.
Gegenüber Fox News teilte der Gerichtsmediziner von Maryland die Ursache für Jordans Tod mit. Demnach sei die zweifache Mutter an einer Vergiftung durch verschiedene Drogen, darunter Rausch- und Beruhigungsmittel, gestorben. Die einstige Teenie-Mutter soll jahrelang drogensüchtig gewesen sein, ihre Erkrankung kostete sie schlussendlich das Leben.
Jordans Verlust war bereits der zweite Todesfall, der die Familie in kürzester Zeit erschütterte. Nur wenige Monate vor ihrem Ableben war ihr Verlobter Michael ums Leben gekommen, mit dem sie eine Tochter hatte – er starb wie später seine Partnerin an einer Drogenüberdosis.
