Marco Odermatt also won the World Cup giant slalom in Adelboden. The Nidwalden won the Chuenisbärgli as the first Swiss in 14 years.
The already Odermatt, leading after the first run, won ahead of the Austrian Manuel Feller and the French Alexis Pinturault. Odermatt won four of the first five giant slaloms of the winter. Overall, the blonde triumphed for the fifth time this season.
Justin Murisier equalized on his 30th birthday with 4th place, his second best result in a World Cup giant slalom. Loïc Meillard achieved his second best result of the season in this discipline with 8th place.
Gino Caviezel made up 6 places in the second run, which was 11th place in the final classification. Cédric Noger secured his first World Cup points in a year thanks to rank 24. Daniele Sette, the sixth Swiss finalist, also delivered a countable result with 27th place in the fifth giant slalom of the season.
