ODM MP to Ruto: You Will Not Be a One-term President. Here’s Why

Alego Usonga MP Samuel Atandi has assured President William Ruto of his reelection in the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence in the president’s continued leadership.

Speaking during a Sunday church service at United Pentecostal Church of Kenya in Dagoretti North, Nairobi, Atandi

reassured the president that his tenure would not be limited to a single term.

Addressing the congregation in the presence of President Ruto, Atandi emphasized the importance of collaboration with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and maintaining a strong faith in God. He assured the president that these actions would secure his reelection.

The ODM lawmaker also projected a positive economic outlook, forecasting a significant rebound this year. He promised that Kenyans would experience increased financial prosperity, with more money flowing into their pockets. Atandi encouraged Ruto to ignore criticisms from his opponents, asserting that their dissent would soon be silenced.

Some people are saying that you are a one-term president. I want to tell you your excellency that as long as you are with God and you are with Baba, I don’t think you will be a one-term president. So that is the assurance I wanted to give you and I want to tell you that as an economist, I know that our economy is jumpstarting and this year we are going to see money flowing in the pockets of Kenyans and the noises that are running across the country, we are going to stop them,” Atandi stated.

He further highlighted the support from the people of Nyanza and acknowledged the president’s efforts in delivering crucial development projects, such as electricity and infrastructure, to the region.

“We, the people of Nyanza, are praying for you because you are working for us. You have brought us electricity and infrastructure, and you continue collaborating with Baba for the betterment of this country. Nothing will happen to you, so don’t be afraid,” Atandi assured.
