Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate and agitator for good governance has contributed to securing the freedom of a man they claim was falsely detained by the Police in Abuja.
Sowore stormed the headquarters of the police when he learnt about the man’s problem from one of his compatriots yesterday.
From the assertions of the relatives of the detained man, he got locked up in custody for 2 weeks with an allegation from a ‘big man’.
The presence of Sowore at the police headquarters facilitated the bail of the man swiftly. While commenting about the release of the man, Sowore noted that standing up and speaking for the voiceless Nigerians till the problem of balance equality of rights is attained will be his unwavering hallmark.

In other news, Mr. Chukwuka Monye, a social innovator and philanthropist, has proclaimed his ambition to run for President of Nigeria in the general elections of 2023.
Monye announced his intentions at an official declaration event at his village of Onicha-Ugbo in Delta State’s Aniocha North Local Government Area on Saturday.
Monye, a University of Oxford-trained innovation strategist, provided a three-point vision of security, institutional changes, and job creation for the nation’s rapid transition under the theme ‘Our Future is Now.’
“Our future is here,” he says, as a reminder that it is time for the youth to take care of the country’s problems.
Monye, who is often referred to as a generational bridge, was born on July 21, 1979, and has impacted lives via the development of enterprises and the mentoring of leaders.
He is the founder of Ciuci Consulting, an international operations management consulting organization specializing in the transformation of corporate and public institutions throughout Africa.
