The Government of Mexico City reported this Thursday morning that the capital of the country will have a green COVID traffic light for another week.
Eduardo Clark, general director of Digital Government of the Digital Agency for Public Innovation, specified in a press conference that in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico there were 13 fewer people hospitalized on Wednesday with respect to to Tuesday (in public and private hospitals). Meanwhile, he said that for Mexico City there was a decrease of nine hospitalizations in the last 24 hours.
He also mentioned that there is a historical minimum of deaths in the capital. Regarding the number of positive cases , the official acknowledged that although there is an upturn, “until now we are well below previous peaks.” “You have to monitor, but as you can see, this increase in positives has not translated, as in other parts of the world, into an increase in the most serious version of COVID,” he added.
