OnePlus Nord 3 5G launches in Malaysia for RM2,199

OnePlus has unveiled the Nord 3 5G, a premium mid-range phone that comes with flagship internals and an eye-catching sleek design.

Powering the Nord 3 5G is the Mediatek Dimensity 9000+, which is a powerful processor that powers last year’s flagship smartphones and by all means, it is still a rather capable chip that offers excellent gaming performance and power efficiency, performing on par with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

OnePlus is also going all out to offer 16GB of physical RAM and 256GB of storage, though it is still possible to expand the former virtually up to 24GB. On top of that, the Nord 3 5G features a beautiful 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED display that pushes 120Hz refresh rate and 1450 nits of peak brightness, and it’s extremely slim bezels offer an impressive 93.5% screen-to-body ratio.

And yes, the legendary Alert Slider is still present.

The OnePlus Nord 3’s camera system also sees a major upgrade from its predecessor, as the triple camera array houses an optically stabilized 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 camera from the OnePlus 11 5G, an 8-megapixel ultrawide and 2-megapixel macro camera, the phone’s main camera is also capable of capturing 4K 60 videos, which could make this a great vlogging smartphone, while on the front, a modest 16-megapixel camera resides in a punch hole cutout and takes 1080p 60 videos.

In terms of battery, the OnePlus Nord 3 5G is juiced by a 5000mAh battery and supports 80W SuperVOOC flash charging, USB PD charging is also supported if you want to charge it with third party chargers, though sadly it doesn’t feature wireless charging, OnePlus claims the battery to have up to 1600 charging cycles and should last up to 4 years.

In conjunction with the launch of the OnePlus Nord 3 5G, OnePlus has also introduced the Nord Buds 2r, a pair of wireless earbuds that offer powerful sound with a 12.4mm extra large driver, the earbuds however don’t have active noise cancellation like the Nord Buds 2, though it offers up to up to an impressive 8-hour battery life on a single charge, the charging case further extends that to 38 hours.

The OnePlus Nord 3 5G and Nord Buds 2r will be available for preorder starting today, the OnePlus Nord 3 5G retails at RM2,199 and comes in one color variant of Misty Green, while the OnePlus Nord Buds 2r retails at RM299 with color options of Deep Gray and Triple Blue, early birds who preorder the OnePlus Nord 3 5G will receive a free Nord Buds 2r till 9th July.

The OnePlus Nord 3 5G can be purchased at lacing and Shopee.
