OPPO Reno6 5G: Quality display, a 90 Hz AMOLED with large selfie cutout

OPPO Reno6 5G uses a 6.43 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and refresh rate of 90 Hz . It has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and plastic protection applied over it, but with a small cutout for the selfie camera in that protection, not really aesthetic.

Video-review OPPO Reno6 5G, Display section

We are promised a maximum of 750 nits of brightness here. The screen has a 20: 9 aspect ratio and displays vivid colors, with a wide and pleasant color palette. It’s a quality, bright panel, it works great on Netflix or Asphalt 9. The contrast is fine in the sun, we don’t have too many complaints here. It also has wide viewing angles and only the hole in the camera takes you a little out of the dive. Black is deep.

Screen Brightness Test

  • 1. OPPO Find X2 872 (LUX)
  • 2. Apple iPhone XS Max 788 (LUX)

  • 61. OPPO Reno6 5G
  • 579 (LUX)

    62. Sony Xperia X Performance 575 (LUX)

  • 63. OnePlus 6T 575 (LUX)
  • 64. Apple iPhone 6s Plus 573 (LUX)
  • 65. Motorola Moto G6 Plus
  • 573 (LUX) 66. Xiaomi 11T 573 (LUX)

  • 67. Apple iPhone 6 570 (LUX)
  • 68. Realme 8 Pro 570 (LUX)
  • 69. Realme GT Master Edition
  • 570 (LUX)

The pixels have an arrangement Pentile Matrix , and in the test with the luxmeter I reached 579 LUX , an excellent result in the midrange area and beyond. We only think about the fact that the Galaxy S20 series did not exceed 400 and some LUX for example. This model surpasses phones like Realme 8 Pro, Reno5 5G and OnePlus Nord 2 in brightness, but in the ranking it is below Motorola Edge 20 and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G.

Screen settings include Always On Display , with custom patterns, text and images, inspirational messages and abstract art. We also have options for brightness, Eye Comfort that eliminates blue light, but also sliders for color temperature, to its warm cold or Default. There is also Color Mode, set to Vivid or Gentle. OPPO also offers the Video Color Enhancer option, a kind of SDR to HDR converter.

You can also go to the font size, but also to the refresh rate, which can be set to 60 or 90 Hz. We also have the Edge Lighting feature, which illuminates the side edges of this flat screen to signal notifications. A quality screen.
