Peso gana por debilitamiento del dólar

El peso ganó por segunda sesión consecutiva al dólar por la cautela por datos económicos importantes y por el esfuerzo por tranquilizar la especulación del mercado por parte de varios oficiales de la Fed, los cuales mencionaron que no es de su interés dar movimientos inesperados en la política monetaria.

La moneda mexicana se apreció 0.09 por ciento y el tipo de cambio cotizó en 20.5939 pesos por dólar, según datos del Banco de México (Banxico).

El peso tocó un mínimo de 20.5023 y un máximo de 20.6486 pesos por dólar durante la jornada.


“El dólar operó con pérdidas a pesar de los datos de manufacturas, debido a una percepción de riesgo disminuida en el conflicto entre Rusia y Ucrania, aunado una asimilación por parte de los inversionistas sobre las percepciones de política monetaria de la Fed”, indicaron analistas de Masari.

En ventanilla bancaria, el dólar se vende en 21.09 unidades, según datos de Citibanamex.

El índice dólar de Bloomberg, que mide la fortaleza del billete verde frente a una canasta de 10 divisas, muestra una caída de 0.27 por ciento al ubicarse en mil 180.01 puntos.

“Hay señales de que algunos formuladores de políticas de la Reserva Federal piensan que los mercados pueden estar adelantándose al ritmo proyectado de aumentos de tasas. Cuatro funcionarios hablaron ayer, cada uno enfatizando la necesidad de un ajuste gradual y la necesidad de que los movimientos dependan de los datos”, dijeron analistas de Ve por Más.

Las divisas con una mayor depreciación frente al dólar fueron el sol peruano, con 0.98 por ciento; la lira turca, con 0.55 por ciento; la rupia india, con 0.24 por ciento; el colón costarricense, con 0.22 por ciento y el peso argentino, con 0.09 por ciento.
