Recognition for the Petal Maps navigation service (Petal Maps) coincides with an app update that brings customized route planning and an improved user experience.
Huawei’s leading global technology company is announced that the Petal Maps app has received the prestigious German Red Dot Award thanks to its innovative features and ease of use. The award coincides with the introduction of new features and an upgrade of the user interface, which further enhances the already impressive performance of the navigation service on Huawei smart devices.

Petal Maps received the Red Dot Award, the highest recognition in the field of industrial design, in the category of brands and communication design. In addition to the award, the impressive features of the application were presented, which attracted attention on the international technology scene and whose main purpose is to facilitate travel all over the world.
One of the main features is to help users on long rides, as the movement is clearly displayed on the map, without the need to guide the user from one screen to another. In addition, the app gives priority to safety with clear and simple instructions that do not disturb the driver while driving. The result is increased interest, as one million new users have opted for Petal maps in the last two months.

After one year of existence and nine updates, Petal maps still they are always distinguished by transparency and ease of use. New features include customized travel planning, an improved visual experience, and additional app-supported languages.

Some new map functions are traffic warnings, public transport and toll station conditions, and short path. They are designed in a way that allows users to travel worry-free while saving time and money. More demanding users can plan as many as eight goals within one route. In case of change, they simply cancel the unwanted destination and the next one will be selected automatically.
Improved visual experience
For a better visual experience, an exciting simulated sky view feature is now available. Regardless of whether the user’s application guides or the user just looks at the maps without entering the destination of the route, it is enough to adjust the view to show the sky with the exact position of the horizon.
Voice guidance
Petal application During the last upgrade, Maps received management support in 14 new languages, including Slovene. The total number of languages supported is now 40, illustrating their global presence. The application works on all Android smartphones and can be downloaded from the AppGallery or Google Play.
