Przed tygodniem Kacper Juroszek odniósł pierwsze w karierze zwycięstwo w zawodach Pucharu Kontynentalnego. Polak okazał się najlepszy w Brotterode i z dużymi nadziejami udał się na zawody w Renie.
I tam też spisał się bardzo dobrze. W pierwszej serii pofrunął 126 metrów i na półmetku zajmował 14. miejsce. W drugiej próbie jeszcze się poprawił – skoczył 130 metrów, co pozwoliło mu się przesunąć aż o osiem lokat – na szóstą.
Triumfował Fredrik Villumstad, który dwukrotnie uzyskał 133,5 metra. Norweg o 0,8 punktu pokonał Zigę Jelara (133,5 i 133 metry). Podium uzupełnił Michael Hayboeck (130,5 i 136 metrów).

Pozostali reprezentanci Polski spisali się znacznie słabiej. 21. miejsce zajął Aleksander Zniszczoł (120,5 i 123,5 metra). 24. był Jakub Wolny (126 i 115,5 metra), 26. Andrzej Stękała (120 i 119,5 metra), a 30. Klemens Murańka (120 i 111 metrów). Do drugiej rundy nie awansował Maciej Kot (108 metrów).
W niedzielę odbędzie się drugi konkurs PK w Renie.
