Police in a Pod Episode 2: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Episode 1 of Police in a Pod starts with Kawai being assigned her supervisor, Sergeant Fuji.

The two colleagues are entirely different. Fuji is crazy beautiful and good at her job. She identifies a middle-aged man to be the criminal who robbed 80 houses, just by feeling a crowbar in his bag.

Kawai, on the other hand, has a look on her face that says, “Nope, not today, satan.”

Even so, they get so much hate from citizens who think they’re a waste of tax. How does Fuji cope with it? By telling Kawai to slap the rude guy with an extra fine while chewing him out under her breath.

Episode 2 Speculations

It was hilarious watching Fuji lose it from accidentally doing the same pose as the one on those phoney pamphlets. The anime has done incredibly well on comedy.

Fans wonder why right at the beginning of the episode, Kawai narrates the moment she met Fuji to be the biggest regret of her life. What happens between them later?

I also detect some yuri undertones to this anime between Kawai and Fuji. Will they or won’t they? Here’s to hoping the ship sails.

Episode 2 Release Date

1. Is Police in a Pod on Break This Week?

Episode 2 of Police in a Pod will be released as per schedule. No delay has been announced.

Episode 1 Recap

Rookie policewoman, Kawai, gets assigned her supervisor, the beautiful Sergeant Fuji. She was an ace in the criminal affairs department but was sent to the police box for harassing a junior officer.

Kawai hates her job. She still joined for a stable income, even though being police isn’t as satisfying and happy as it looks on the pamphlet. The duo goes out to scour the neighborhood and find an older man being bullied by a couple of boys.

Sergeant Fuji saves him but, after connecting the dots, finds that he is the burglar who has broken into over 80 homes. Kawai is impressed by her seasoned senior. Fuji even lets her question the criminal for the experience.

Yamada from the criminal affairs department comes to take the culprit away. He is astounded when he sees a police officer bowing to a thief. The thief in question identifies him to be one of those good-for-nothing officers who prattle on about unnecessary things.

The two women are sent for a workshop on safety rules for school children. Kawai does surprisingly well, and a kid asks why they should follow the rules, and Kawai finds a way to tell her “so you don’t get thrown in jail,” subtly.

A child asks Fuji where a particular building is, and Fuji bends down and points to show her, posing just like that lady in the pamphlet, triggering a complete meltdown.

In the end, they get cursed out by people speeding on the road and Kawai shares more of her childhood trauma than was welcome.

Her father was once fined 15000 yen for breaking a driving rule, which scarred her because it was such a terrible financial setback. He is also the one who pushed her to get a civil servant job. Will she eventually find it worthwhile?
