«Freedom Day». So bezeichnete der britische Premierminister Boris Johnson den Tag, als er alle Coronamassnahmen aushebelte. Das wünschen sich hierzulande auch der Gewerbeverband und einige bürgerliche Politiker. Sie haben am Dienstag dazu aufgerufen, alle Coronarestriktionen zu beenden, ganz nach dem Vorbild von Boris Johnson. Dieser musste allerdings nach der grossen Verkündung am 19. Juli wieder Massnahmen einführen wegen Delta. Einen zweiten «Freedom Day» hat Johnson für heute angesetzt, denn Mitte Dezember musste der Premier wegen Omikron die Restriktionen erneut verschärfen.
