President Dr Arif Alvi Congratulates People of Pakistan on Participation in Elections

President Dr. Arif Alvi praised the people of Pakistan for showing their commitment to democracy by actively participating in the voting process. In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), he specifically appreciated women for turning out in large numbers for the General Elections held on February 8th.

I must congratulate the people of Pakistan, specially the women for coming out in huge numbers, withstanding all pressures and standing up for democracy. The youth deserve a special mention, and I praise them for having decided to take charge of the country by participating…

The President also gave credit to the youth for peacefully taking part in voting and expressed confidence in the democratic system. He stressed the importance of having a clear mandate to deal with financial challenges, make tough decisions, and promote national unity.

President Alvi expressed hope for Pakistan’s bright future, pointing to the strong expression of the people’s will in the elections.
