Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi wed in a lavish Windsor ceremony last July and took steps to set up a comfortable home prior to welcoming their newborn.

Reports stated that the couple were due to relocate to the Cotswolds as they pick a stunning £3m property as their first family home, and will manage their hectic London lifestyle by dividing their time between the city and the calm countryside.

The 32 year old royal, who is the eldest daughter of Sarah, Duchess of York and Andrew, Duke of York, tied the knot with Italian businessman Edoardo, 38, in 2020 with the pair announcing their pregnancy this May before announcing the birth of their baby daughter on September 20, 2021.

It was announced via Buckingham Palace’s social media that they had given birth to a baby girl on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

Born at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, a statement from Buckingham Palace read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.

“The baby weighs six pounds and two ounces.”

It continued: “The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news. The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.

“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.”

Following the couple’s announcement, Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie, 31, posted a throwback image of the parents to congratulate them on their incredible news.

She wrote: “To my dearest Beabea and Edo⁣. Congratulations on your new angel. I can’t wait to meet her and I’m so proud of you.

“We’re going to have so much fun watching our children grow up. Love Euge.”

After the kind letter penned to her sister and brother-in-law, Eugenie also wrote a short letter to her new niece.

It read: “To my new niece, I love you already and think you’re just awesome from the photos… We’re going to have so much fun ⁣together.

“Love your Auntie Euge”.

Beatrice’s due date was never revealed, and neither was the baby’s gender before the birth, as the pair enjoyed a rather private pregnancy in line with royal tradition.

The royal hadn’t been pictured in public since July, and at the time she was already sporting a pretty significant baby bump.

Pictures taken on July 8 show a heavily-pregnant Beatrice looking radiant as she attended Wimbledon with Edoaro.

Dressed in a puff-sleeved white dress covered in black polka dots, the flame-haired royal looked effortlessly chic.

Her husband, also known as Edo, looked handsome in a smart three-piece navy blue suit, paired with a crisp white shirt and a matching navy tie.

The couple smiled and cheered on the players from the royal box, with the Princess cradling her bump as she spoke to fellow attendees.

Back in August, it was reported that Beatrice and Edo had set their sights on a property in Oxfordshire in preparation for their daughter’s arrival.

Reports claimed that a £3 million property set near Blenheim Palace is the new family home, set in the picture-perfect countryside with plenty of privacy.

The MailOnline reported that the couple had their hearts set on this particular property for months prior, and that they’re looking forward to leaving London as their offer as their offer was accepted on the Oxfordshire family home after having their sights set on the picturesque countryside retreat for months prior.

It is believed that the luxurious Cotswolds property comes complete with a number of amazing features, including a tennis court and a swimming pool.

Now that their baby daughter is here, the parents have a perfect spot to celebrate as the huge property even has its own party barn – perfect for birthdays and family bashes.

However, it’s thought that the couple’s current St James’s Palace home in London will still be there for when they need it, as most Royals have a base in the capital.

Princess Beatrice won’t be the first royal to exchange the bright lights of London for a laid-back rural lifestyle.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent the majority of the pandemic based at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, which is not too far from the Queen’s main home on the Sandringham Estate.

However, both Beatrice’s sister and mother live in Windsor – Princess Eugenie has been staying at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s base, Frogmore Cottage, with mum Sarah living at Royal Lodge, Windsor.
