A little more than two years after its announcement, during Game Awards 2019, Prologue is still as discreet and mysterious, although precious information was shared during the year 2021. Prologue is a procedurally generated open world. Players will be able to evolve on a 64km by 64km terrain, with the objective of surviving, then giving free rein to their imagination. It seems that there is no specific purpose, other than exploration and construction. More details will be given on this subject in due course by PLAYERUNKNOWN.
In the meantime, and to start the year on the right track, Brendan Greene, creator of PUBG, shared some images of Prologue. The latter come from a technical demo ” proof of concept” dating from the beginning of the year 2021. They show a part of the world and of his generation. These first tests confirmed Brendan Greene’s idea of creating “worlds the size of a planet and the possibilities they could offer players
“.
Today I want to share a proof-of-concept tech demo from early last year.
This gave me the confidence to think about planet-sized worlds and the possibilities they could afford players.
If you want to help us make these worlds, we are hiring!https://t.co/MUO49PS2KG pic.twitter.com/wDef2Jz34T

The studio is always looking for new people to carry out its project. Since a technical demo was launched at the beginning of 2021, we could see a playable version of Prologue this year, or at least have more concrete information. Either way, PLAYERUNKNOWN wants to create open worlds of endless possibilities, redefining the genre.
