The Al-Bouchra association for social, cultural and sports development in partnership with the Ministry of Interior, launched the Bassma project for the strengthening of the capacities of women in local management, this January 8, 2022, in Rabat.
Thanks to the initiative of the Al-Bouchra association for social, cultural and sports development, accompanied by the Ministry of the Interior, through the Support Fund for the Representativeness of Women, women in the Kingdom, particularly in political life, have had a project dedicated to them since Saturday.
Called “Bassma”, this is a project aimed at promote the active participation of women in local political life and the strengthening of the capacity of those elected locally. In addition to these promotions, it also aims to raise the level of female leadership in the management of local affairs, to improve their representativeness and to ensure their access to decision-making bodies on the basis of the ‘equal opportunities. Note that “Bassma
” was launched under the sign “Women in elected councils, a lever for good governance”.
For her part, the president of the Al-Bouchra association, Hassania El-Ghayech indicated that the project aims to support elected women, those who are interested in local affairs and potential candidates for the next elections in order to to provide them with the tools for political action. She considers it important to master the legal and practical aspects of the management of local councils.
Abdessamad Maazouzi, manager of the Bassma project, meanwhile, explained in a statement to the MAP, that this training is focused on new developments in budget management, delegated management, particularly in the field of cleanliness and female leadership in local decision-making, adding that awareness campaigns for the benefit of women are scheduled .
Recall that the Support Fund for the representation of women is a fund that was created in 2009 in accordance with the High Royal Guidelines with the objective of strengthening the capacities of women in with a view to facilitating their integration into national political and electoral life.
