Racing Tips: Andrew Mount’s Sunday Picks – March 20th

Andrew continued his fine form with two well-backed winners (2-1 & 7-2) and a 14-1 second from his three picks on Saturday (the other two were non-runners) and he has three selections for racing on Sunday, March 20th. CARLISLE 3.25

SNOWY CLOUDS (system – Nicky Richards, second run after a wind operation)

Nicky Richards has a four from 17 record with his runners returning from wind surgery and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £39.20 to a £1 level stake at SP. Seven of the 13 beaten horses made the frame and SNOWY CLOUDS might be able to cause a minor upset.

MAROWN (system – Nicky Richards, second run after a wind operation)

MAROWN is a qualifier on the same angle as Snowy Clouds (see Carlisle 3.25). He was desperately disappointing on his comeback from wind surgery at Catterick last month (pulled up) but he jumped abysmally and might do better on today’s quicker going.

GORTHILL (system – sire Rail Link, bumpers)

Since the beginning of 2014, progeny of the sire Rail Link are 13 from 83 in National Hunt Flat races for a profit of £64.67 to a £1 level stake at SP. GORTHILL has shown desperately little in point-to-points but might just be worth chancing to tiny stakes.
