RADULOVIC: The state is trapped in an invisible coalition between two populisms

Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Đorđe Radulović said that he would resign if he had violated the Law in any way or abused his position in the way he wanted to present himself and that he would not wait for an interpellation in parliament.

In an interview with Vjesti, Radulović pointed out that the interpellation, which was adopted by the deputies of the Democratic Front (DF) and the opposition in late December, demanding his removal from that position, he does not see as a personal attitude towards him and his work. his fellow ministers would not have ended in a different outcome.

“I am looking forward to a new political moment in which the DF and DPS are voting together for the removal of ministers. It is a new political moment. I believe that any of the civic parties of the center or some other parties did that, in order to be accused of political corruption, “betrayal of the people’s will.” However, it seems that such rules do not apply to these two political blocs, which at the same time shape the rules of conduct by requiring others to respect them, while not hesitating to violate them themselves. The fact that the DPS-DF alliance is overthrowing the Minister of Foreign Affairs, whose Ministry had the highest percentage of success in implementing the program, shows how much they value the work of the Government and how much they care about the results “, states Radulović.

that the attitude of the DPS and the DF towards the three ministers speaks of who is overthrowing the Government and who is “playing the electoral will of the people.”

I do not perceive interpellation as a personal attitude towards me or my work, because I believe that the interpellation of any of my fellow ministers would not have ended in a different outcome. It is simply the attitude of political parties towards the Government. If I had violated the Law in any way or abused my office, in the way I want to present myself, I would have resigned without waiting for an interpellation. It should be borne in mind here that the reason for the interpellation is not valid. The DPS is calling for information before the Commission of the Bureau for Operational Communication of the Government of Montenegro was formed, which had yet to check the behavior of all actors and the Montenegrin police during the events in Cetinje “, says the head of diplomacy.

It is very important, adds Radulović, to repeat that at a specific moment for our country, pregnant with danger and various spins initiated by the DPS.

“The MFA cannot stand alone and not say a word to the international community at that moment, she asks us to address her, to explain the events in the country and do what is our job, and that is communication with that international public. We would like to ask them what the DPS would do on that occasion, whether they would wait a month or two for the report to arrive and then inform the international public. I think that would not be the case, as it was not during their rule when they sent a large number of instructions to embassies, as a modus operandi that does not befit my human or professional dignity. The mention of the president, which obviously provoked such a reaction, is in the context of what he himself publicly commented on in those days and what went on the air towards the international community – defending Montenegro, defending Cetinje, coming to the capital and gathering people around him. ” states Radulović.

He points out that it is absolutely incorrect that the Non-Paper does not mention wounded citizens.

“All this was mentioned, although I would like it not to have happened. injured. “Unfortunately, we are witnessing that Montenegro is trapped in an invisible coalition between two populisms, and it can be said that the interpellation is a vivid example of this phenomenon that we are witnessing today in Montenegro,” Radulovic said.

that, if they do not find an acceptable solution to the Prevlaka issue by bilateral agreement, they are ready to go to the International Court of Justice in The Hague or to ad-hoc arbitration.

“However, I am convinced that Montenegrin-Croatian relations are characterized by a friendly spirit and mutual desire to find the best solution bilaterally, without involving the courts and seeking arbitration. ”
